James R. Dempsey Jr.

Jim Dempsey is a Past Commander for the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) for the Department of Michigan. He is a military veteran of 28+ years, having served as a non-commissioned officer from 1974-1982, at which time he received a direct appointment as second lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps of the U.S. Air Force. Jim retired as a Lt. Colonel.

Jim’s education includes degrees from Adirondack Community College in 1974, Psychology/Business Administration; State University of NY at Albany in 1979, Sociology/Business Administration; State University of NY at Adirondack, Professional Nursing in 1983; Graduate certificate in Health Services Administration from USAF School of Health Care Science, 1982.

He currently lives in Dexter, MI, where he continues to serve as Chairman, Board of Trustees to the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund and an active member of Rotary Club of Dexter.
